NC State 2023 Football Commits Week 8 Report

This past weekend marked the 8th week of the 2022 High School Football season. Here’s a rundown of how some of the 2023 NC State commits showed out.

4- Star Tight End Javonte Vereen had 11 receptions for 129 yards in Havelock’s 36-34 victory over Jacksonville.

Season Stats: 45 receptions for 572 yards and 6 touchdowns. (Also, 1 passing touchdown and 1 rushing touchdown)

4-Star Athlete Zack Myers had 5 receptions for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns in Christ School’s 27-8 win over Metrolina Christian Academy. He also had 2 tackles.

Season Stats: 23 receptions for 505 yards and 6 touchdowns.

4-Star Wide Receiver Kevin Concepcion had 2 receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown in Chambers’ 47-6 victory over Hopewell.

Season Stats: 15 receptions for 303 yards and 3 touchdowns

4-Star Defensive End Isaiah Shirley had 11 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and a sack in Watauga’s 34-20 victory over Alexander Central.

Season Stats: 47 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 2 pass breakups

3-Star WR/DB Tamarcus Cooley’s highlights in Rolesville’s 35-6 victory over Millbrook. He had a touchdown and caused a turnover.

Season Stats: 6 receptions for 59 yards and 2 touchdowns, 9 rushes for 80 yards and a touchdown, 22 tackles and 1 interception

3-Star Cornerback Brandon Cisse had 101 total yards, a touchdown and an interception in Lakewood’s 15-6 win over Lake City.

3-Star Offensive Tackle Kamen Smth’s highlights in Wilkes Central’s 50-26 win over North Wilkes.

3-Star Offensive Tackle Charlie Symonds highlights from The Taft School’s 41-21 victory over Philips Academy.

4-Star Safety Daemon Fagan had 3 tackles and 3 pass breakups in American Heritage’s 42-18 victory over Western.

Season Stats: 46 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 8 pass breakups, 2 interceptions
