Trea Turner’s Solo Blast Helps Propel Dodgers to Game 1 Victory in NLDS

Former NC State All-American Shortstop Trea Turner kicked off the scoring for the Dodgers last night, hitting a solo shot in the first inning of Game 1 of the NLDS against the Padres.

He also hit a double, that was inches away from being another home run.

The Dodgers went on to beat the Padres 5-3, and Turner finished the game 2-4, with a home run and a double, 2 runs and 1 rbi.

This is a much better start to the postseason for Turner compared to last year. In 2021, Turner had 2 extra base hits in 12 playoff games, and he already matched that number in Game 1 last night.
