The ACC has released their Weekly Honors for Week 10 of the College Football season, and Freshman Quarterback MJ Morris and Senior Linebacker Isaiah Moore were honored with Rookie of the Week and Linebacker of the Week honors. This is Morris’ 2nd consecutive week in a row earning ACC Rookie of the Week honors.

CO-ROOKIE – MJ Morris, NC State, QB, Carrolton, Ga.
Repeats as ACC Rookie of the Week after leading the Wolfpack to a 30-21 win over No. 21 Wake Forest in his first career start • Completed 64.2 percent of his passes (18-for-28) for 210 yards and three touchdowns (for the second consecutive game) • The Wolfpack did not turn the ball over in the contest and controlled time of possession • Morris also rushed for 43 yards • First true freshman since Philip Rivers (2000) to start a game for the Wolfpack • Also joined Rivers as the only NC State quarterbacks in their first start (since 2000) to throw for three TD passes.

CO-LINEBACKER – Isaiah Moore, NC State, LB, Chester, Va.
Playing his final home game two days after the death of his grandmother, Moore led the Wolfpack with 10 stops in Saturday night’s 30-21 victory over No. 21 Wake Forest • Had 2.5 tackles for loss (15 yards) and a nine-yard sack • Batted down a pass on third down to force a punt • Late in the first quarter, with the Pack up 3-0, Wake had first-and-goal from the 1-yard line • Moore stepped up with a 3-yard TFL, a 4-yard TFL and a quarterback sack of -9 yards to force a field goal attempt (that was missed) • Five of his stops were for zero or negative yards. Rookie of week was obvious choice, two weeks in a row on a mid season start is pretty impressive. Wake’s secondary is one of the weakest in the league, so we’ll see if he can continue to stretch the field or if Beck backs him off a bit. I hope he lets it fly, only good things come from an aggressive offense. More likely to get a PI call than a pick.

Moore was a monster. (One more home game, btw)
