Women’s Basketball: #10 NC State 82 Quinnipiac 45: BOX SCORE

The 10th ranked NC State Women’s Basketball team defeated Quinnipiac convincingly 82-45 in their season opener tonight in Reynolds Coliseum.

Senior Forward Jada Boyd led the Wolfpack with 14 points, shooting a perfect 4 of 4 from the field, and 6 of 6 from the free throw line. She also led the team with 3 steals.

Senior Center Camille Hobby now has a chance to shine with the exodus of Elissa Cunane, and she took advantage of the opportunity, scoring 10 points and tied for the team high in rebounds, with 6.

Sophomore Guard Jessica Timmons was the other NC State player in double-digits, scoring 10 points on an efficient 4 of 5 shooting from the field.

Sophomore Saniya Rivers might have impressed me the most. She had 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists, but she is electric. You can see why she was the National Player of the Year coming out of high school.

This team is stacked. Every single player is either a 4 or 5 star prospect out of high school.

The Women’s Basketball team will be back in action on Thursday at home against Elon at 7pm.

Below is the Box Score.
