#16 NC State Football is Looking to Set a New School Record With 17th Straight Home Win on Saturday

If #16 NC State beats Boston College on Saturday in Carter-Finley Stadium, it will mark the Wolfpack’s 17th straight victory at home, which would set a new school record.

When NC State defeated Wake Forest last Saturday night, they tied the current school record of 16 straight wins at home, set back in 1972-75, when legendary Lou Holtz was the head coach.

Last year the Wolfpack went undefeated at home (first time since 1986), and a win on Saturday against BC would make it consecutive seasons going undefeated in Carter-Finley, which hasn’t been done since 1973-74.

Here’s a look at all 16 consecutive wins:

11/14/20 – FSU – 38-22
11/21/20 – #21 Liberty – 15-14
12/5/20 – Georgia Tech – 23-13
9/2/21 – South Florida – 45-0
9/18/21 – Furman – 45-7
9/25/21 – #9 Clemson – 27-21
10/2/21 – Louisiana Tech – 34-27
10/30/21 – Louisville – 28-13
11/20/21 – Syracuse – 41-17
11/26/21 – UNC – 34-30
9/10/22 – Charleston Southern – 55-3
9/17/22 – Texas Tech – 27-14
9/24/22 – UCONN – 41-10
10/8/22 – FSU – 19-17 (FSU is now ranked 23rd)
10/27/22 – Virginia Tech – 22-21
11/5/22 – #20 Wake Forest – 30-21

The Wolfpack’s current 16-game home winning streak ranks 6th in all of College Football.

I don’t think Wolfpack Head Coach Dave Doeren gets enough credit for what he’s done, and this is one of many reasons why.
