Women’s Basketball: #10 NC State 89 Elon 55: BOX SCORE

The 10th ranked NC State Women’s Basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season last night, defeating Elon 89-55.

The Wolfpack had 4 players in double figures. Junior Point Guard Diamond Johnson led the way with 18 points in 17 minutes of play! She was an efficient 7 of 11 from the field and 2 of 4 from beyond the arch. She also had 3 assists and 3 steals.

Senior Center Camille Hobby was unable to be stopped, scoring 16 points, shooting 6 of 7 from the field. She even sunk a three.

Junior Guard Madison Hayes had 11 points on 4 of 6 shooting.

Senior Guard Jakia Brown-Turner had 10 points.

Sophomore Guard Saniya continued to impress off the bench, filling the stat sheet with 6 points, 7 rebounds (team high), 4 assists (team high) and 2 steals.

The Wolfpack will host Mount St. Mary’s on Sunday at 2pm in Reynolds Coliseum.
