Women’s Basketball: #10 NC State 86 Mount St. Mary’s 38: BOX SCORE

The 10th ranked NC State Women’s Basketball team improved to 3-0 yesterday, defeating Mount St. Mary’s 86-38 in Reynolds Coliseum.

Sophomore Guard Aziaha James had a team high 19 points (career high), on a stellar 6 0f 7 from the field, and 2 of three beyond the arc. James earned a spot on the All-ACC Freshman Team last year, but this is only the third time in her career scoring in double digits, scoring 11 points twice last year. James also tied for a team high 2 blocks.

Junior Point Guard Diamond Johnson had 13 points, 6 rebounds and was tied for a team high with 4 assists. Johnson was 3 0f 4 beyond the arc.

Junior Guard Madison Hayes posted her first career double-double, with 11 points and 11 rebounds (team high). She also had 2 blocks

Senior Guard Jakia Brown-Turner had 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (tied team high). Brown-Turner crossed 1,000 career points, becoming the 37th player to do so.
