NC State vs. Louisville: DEPTH CHART with Notes

on

The NC State Football team released their Depth Chart for their matchup at Louisville this weekend.

Notes

The Depth Chart released today is the same Depth Chart that was released last week. As we have seen throughout the year, Wolfpack Head Coach Dave Doeren has kept injuries hush hush. Very often, a player might still be listed on the Depth Chart, but not play in the game at all.

Starting Center Grant Gibson left the Boston College game in the 1st half with an injury, and didn’t return. Learning from how things have been reported this year, Gibson being listed as the starter doesn’t mean he will play this Saturday at all. If Gibson is out, that is extremely problematic for the NC State Offensive Line. After Gibson left the game, Sophomore Right Guard Dylan McMahon moved over to Center and Freshman Anthony Carter Jr took McMahon’s spot at Right Guard, despite the fact that Carter was and is listed as the backup at Left Guard. When these changes took place, Boston College was able to bring pressure on Wolfpack Quarterback MJ Morris with ease.

From what I’ve heard from people close to the program, Gibson isn’t likely to play this week.

Also, even though Freshman Quarterback MJ Morris finished the game on Saturday, he was limping around for much of the 2nd half. Despite the fact that he is listed as the starter still, from what I’ve heard, he isn’t expected to play this weekend, and I’ll leave it at that.

Also, I know Freshman Running Back Demie Sumo-Karngbaye is listed as Jordan Houston’s backup, but watching how he needed help to even get off the field, I wouldn’t expect Sumo to see the field in Louisville. Expect an increased dosage of True Freshman Michael Allen at Running Back.
