Men’s Basketball: NC State 74 Elon 63: BOX SCORE
NC State Men’s Basketball team improved to 4-0 this afternoon, beating in-state foe Elon 74-63.
Below is the Box Score.
Senior Jack Clark led the team with 21 points (season high), shooting 9 of 18 from the field. He also had 9 rebounds and 9 steals.
Sophomore Terquavion Smith had 16 points (6-16 FG/4-13 3PT), 4 assists and 2 steals.
Senior Casey Morsell shined for the 2nd straight game, efficiently scoring 15 points (6-11 FG/3-6 3 PT). He also grabbed an impressive 8 rebounds.
Senior Dusan Mahorcic was a beast, ripping down 14 rebounds, and blocking 3 shots. He also had 9 points on 4 of 6 shooting.
Another all around good game, maybe we didn’t play with full intensity but it was a sparse crowd with most students gone home for the holiday week. Beating a zone even with our marginal 3pt shooting is nice. Burns struggled, hope that’s just because of the zone keeping home from establishing position inside. But where Burns struggled inside, Clark more than made up for. I am enjoying watching Morsell do all the little things and being the glue guy for this team.
