It’s official.

NC State Place Kicker Christopher Dunn is a CONSENSUS 1st Team All-American.

In order to earn the title Consensus 1st Team All-American, you have to earn 1st Team honors from 3 out of 5 of the following All-American Teams: American Football Coaches Association, Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, Sporting News, Walter Camp Football Foundation.

If you earn 1st Team honors by all 5, you are dubbed a UNANIMOUS 1st Team All-American.

Dunn missed unanimous honors by 1. He earned 1st team honors from the AFCA, AP, FWAA, and the WCFF. The Sporting News dubbed him 2nd Team All-American.

Dunn connected on 24 of his 25 field goal attempts in 2022. His total field goals (24), and his field goal percentage (96%) both ranked 2nd in the FBS. His 96% accuracy was the best percentage by kickers with 20+ field goal attempts. 17 of his field goals were from 30+ yards, which was the 2nd most in the FBS. This season, Dunn became the ACC’s career leader in field goals and total points.

Christopher Dunn is only the 10th player in school history to earn heralded status of Consensus 1st Team All-American.
