NC State Nickel Joshua Pierre-Louis Enters the Transfer Portal

Back on October 10th, Dave Doeren announced at his weekly press conference that Sophomore Nickel Joshua Pierre-Louis was suspended from the team indefinitely.

Here’s what Doeren had to say then:

“Nickel Joshua Pierre-Louis was suspended indefinitely from the team. That happened three weeks ago maybe, before Texas Tech, and that’s an indefinite suspension.” \

Pierre-Louis saw action in the 1st three games of the 2022 (which included Texas Tech). He entered 2022 as the clear backup to Tyler Baker-Williams at Nickel, seeing significant playing time there in 2021.

After missing the final 9 games (10 including the bowl game) due to suspension, Doeren never came out and said that Pierre-Louis was going to be able to join the team again in 2023. To be honest, I don’t know what JPL did, but he has decided to find a fresh start elsewhere.

Pierre-Louis is the 5th NC State player to enter the Transfer Portal, joining WR Jasiah Provillon, QB Devin Leary, WR Devin Carter, DT Johsua Harris.
