4-Star 2023 Wide Receiver Elijah Caldwell (6’1″/190) decommitted from West Virginia on Sunday.

Caldwell originally committed to West Virginia on July 1st. With early signing Day sneaking up, NC State offered Caldwell on December 9th.

ESPN ranks the Northwestern High School (Rock Hill) standout as the #4 player in the state of South Carolina in 2023. As a Senior, Caldwell exploded for 77 receptions for 1,365 yards and 19 touchdown receptions. He also averaged 26.1 yards per kickoff return (23 returns), taking one to the house.

Going forward, NC State will be a factor in Caldwell’s recruitment. I reached out to him, and he informed me he plans on taking an Official Visit to Raleigh on January 13th.
