Cincinnati Transfer Defensive End Noah Potter (6’6″/270) just committed to run with the Wolfpack, after taking an Official Visit to NC State this weekend.

Potter played in all 12 games for the Bearcats this season, starting in 1. He finished 2022 with 18 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, 5 QB Hurries, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery. He played a total of 316 snaps for Cincy this season, and had a grade of 66.1 according to ProFootballFocus.

2022 was Potter’s first season in Cincinnati, after spending his first three seasons at Ohio State.

Potter was a consensus 4-star prospect in the Buckeyes’ 2019 recruiting class. ON3 ranked him as the #8 player in the state of Ohio in 2019, and the #316 overall player nationally.

As a True Freshman at Ohio State, Potter played in 4 games, and was able to redshirt. In 2020, he once again played in 4 games, tallying 2 tackles. Potter didn’t play at all in 2021, due to dealing with issues with his peripheral vision because of a detached retina.

Potter informed the staff this past weekend that he was coming.

He is the 4th player to transfer to NC State since the Portal opened, joining Clemson Wide Receiver Dacari Collins, Old Dominion Safety Robert Kennedy III, and Oregon Offensive Lineman Dawson Jaramillo.

Potter recently graduated and has 2 years of eligibility remaining.
