ESPN analysts leak info that Terquavion Smith practiced and is “good to go”

Last night, Will Brinson (CBS) tweeted out that during the VT/Duke broadcast on ESPN, announcer Corey Alexander broke some news on the status of NC State star Terquavion Smith. Here is that tweet…

Apparently, Alexander was passing on info he had gotten from Seth Greenberg (ESPN analyst and former VT coach).

This isn’t surprising if you’ve been following along. Multiple reports had come out that Smith was doing good, and even Coach Keatts said he was a game-time decision because of continued soreness.

After fans saw him out in Raleigh on Sunday night without a cast on his arm, and seemingly in good spirits, it seemed like there was a pretty good shot we’d see him suit up against ND tonight.

While this is still just a ‘rumor’ (as in, it hasn’t been officially confirmed by the team), it’s unlikely Greenberg would be passing along this information if it was false. Even if Smith did practice, it doesn’t guarantee he’ll play, and if he does, we aren’t sure how much he’ll be used.

No matter how you slice it, this is great news for NC State. On Saturday it looked like his career may be in jeopardy, and only 3 days later we’re getting reports that he’s back on the court.

We’ll keep you updated.

ND is always really good at ball movement, and if their shots are falling watch out. But if we rebound well I think we can stay in control.

Yes! Great news! Even though Notre Dame is like 1-8 in the ACC, they are another team playing for pride and State has a target on its back this year. We CANNOT afford to lose to any of the bottom tier teams. Go Pack!
