The Athletic thinks Kevin Keatts should be a candidate for the Georgetown Job

NC State needs to focus on getting into the NCAA Tournament and then winning. The last thing anyone needs to worry about is Kevin Keatts coaching future.

But what are we if not a site that passes on relevant NC State news?

The Athletic has an article titled “Georgetown coaching candidates: Could Rick Pitino or Kevin Keatts replace Patrick Ewing?

In the article they give a “call list” of coaches who they believe would be good fits.

The list consists of Kevin Keatts, Rick Pitino, VT’s Mike Jones, Colgates Matt Langel, Penn State’s Mikah Schrewsberry, or Texas’ Rodney Terry.

Here is what they had to say about Kevin Keatts…

At the end of the article, they tell you who they think should be the eventual hire. You’ll have to subscribe to see who they pick, but I’ll just let you know, it’s not Kevin Keatts.

Look, I don’t know if Keatts would even entertain this idea, but now isn’t the time to discuss it. When the season is over we’ll go a little deeper in addressing this type of thing.  For now, we’re just passing along info.

The latest from Gtown “insiders” is the Shrewsberry is their guy. They used the phrase, “We’ve got our guy.”
Inconveniently for Gtown, PSU has won their first three game in the B1G tournament and play Purdue today for the title. We shall see.

That’s a compliment, we’ll take it.
