Chiefs Place Former NC State LB Isaiah Moore on the IR

Former NC State Linebacker Isaiah Moore has been placed on the injured reserve by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Moore unfortunately is going to have to have knee surgery. As a result, the Chiefs waived Moore. Since he wasn’t claimed off of waivers, the Chiefs were able to designate him to the IR.

Since Moore is on the IR, this year can function as a redshirt year of sorts, giving him an opportunity to make the Chiefs team once again next year.

Moore went undrafted earlier this year, after earning a spot on the AP’s All-ACC 2nd Team. He finished the 2022 season with 82 tackles, which ranked 4th on the team, and ranked 2nd on the team with 15 tackles for loss.

In his 5 years of play (additional Covid-19 year), Moore finished his career ranked 11th in school history in tackles (341), and 5th in tackles for loss (42.5).
