4-Star 2024 NC State Men’s Basketball commit Paul McNeil (6’6″/185) will be playing his Senior season closer to where he will be playing college ball, transferring from Richmond High School (Rockingham, North Carolina) to Word of God Academy (Raleigh, North Carolina).

McNeil averaged 24.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.2 steals per game for the Richmond Raiders last year. He will see a higher level of competition at Word of God this year, preparing him for his first year with the Wolfpack in 2024-25.

Back in February, McNeil committed to NC State on the 19th after taking an Official Visit.

ESPN ranks McNeil as the #47 overall player nationally in the 2024 recruiting class, the #8 Small Forward, and the #3 player in the state of North Carolina.

Closer to Raleigh and the Wolfpack is good. Signing a LOI during the early period is better. Hope to see the Pack find a good balance between HS recruiting and the transfer portal.
