2024 3-Star Linebacker Joshua Ofor (6’2″/210) will be taking an Official Visit to NC State on the weekend of September 8th, when the Wolfpack will be hosting Notre Dame.

Ofor picked up an offer from the Wolfpack back in June 13th.

“The offer came when I was on the phone with my Offensive Coordinator and Coach Gibson,” said Ofor. “It meant a lot to me. They were already in contact with me in the Spring and the offer just showed how much they really are interested.”

Ofor could see NC State being a good fit, because the defensive schemes are very similar.

“They run a 3-3-5 just like my school does, and the way they use their Linebackers are similar to how we use ours.”

At the end of July, Ofor made the trip up from Georgia to attend the Alpha Wolf Showcase.

“It was great to get up there and see the coaches face-to-face,” said Ofor. “I got to have meetings with the coaches and have a look at all the facilities.”

Ofor already took an Official Visit to ECU in June, and he plans to take one to Ole Miss the week before he takes his visit to NC State.

With his Official Visit looming, Ofor said NC State is in a good spot.

“NC state stands high in my recruitment right now. It’s one of the schools I’m high on right now.”

Ofor is coming off a Junior season at Mundy’s Mill (Jonesboro, Georgia) where he had 85 tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss, but his goals are even higher for his Senior season.

“My goals this year are to win our region, be a Top-10 defense in 6A again and make it to where we are practicing Thanksgiving break, which is the 3rd round of the playoffs.”
