C.J. Clark’s 2022 Highlight Reel

NC State’s Defensive Line is stacked, but I think Redshirt Junior C.J. Clark will exceed expectations more than Davin Vann and Savion Jackson.

Clark is moving back to Nose Tackle, which is more of a natural position for him. People forget that he entered the 2021 season as the starter at Nose before suffering a season ending injury after Week 3 in practice. Cory Durden stepped in, and ended up earning 1st Team All-ACC honors. As a result, in order to keep a good thing going, the Wolfpack coaching staff kept Durden at Nose Tackle in 2022, and moved Clark out to Defensive End. Clark missed all of Spring practice last year, but ended up playing in all 13 games last year, and started in 6.

Clark has the size to play Nose, but also has the explosive ability of a Defensive End. As good as Durden was, I think Clark might have a better ability to get to the QB at Nose than Durden did.
