Kevin Concepcion Breaks NC State Freshman Reception Record

Kevin Concepcion is one of the most electric players in the ACC, and he’s only a True Freshman. This past Saturday, he broke NC State’s record for receptions by a Freshman. His 3 receptions brought him to 50 on the year, which passed Koren Robinson’s record of 48 set back in 1999.

He already broke the Wolfpack Freshman record for touchdown receptions in the game against Clemson. Against the Tigers, Concepcion’s 2 touchdown receptions brought him to 6 on the year, breaking Kelvin Harmon’s record of 5 set back in 2016.

Concepcion’s 573 receiving yards currently rank 3rd in NC State history by a Freshman.

1) Koren Robinson – 853 receiving yards
2) Bo Hines – 616 receiving yards
3) Kevin Concepcion – 573 receiving yards

Currently, Concepcion is averaging 57.3 receiving yards per game. If he keeps that pace, he will finish with 745 yards, which will be the 2nd most by a Freshman in school history. With that being said, don’t count KC out from passing Robinson’s 853 receiving yards.
