NC State is a Slight Underdog Against UNC This Weekend…

NC State (8-3) is currently a 2.5-point underdog against rival UNC (8-3) this weekend according to Vegas. The Total is sitting at 55.5.

• UNC is 6-5 against the Spread in 2023.
  • NC State is 5-5-1.
• NC State is 3-2-1 Against the Spread at Home.
  • UNC is 1-2 Against the Spread on the Road.
• The Total has gone Under in 8 of NC Stat’s 11 games.
  • The Total has Gone Under in 5 of UNC’s 11 games.
• NC State has one 6 of the last 10 against UNC Straight Up. 
  • With that being said, in those 10 games, they are 3-7 Against the Spread.

Vegas might have set the spread at 2.5-points, but ESPN is feeling even less confident in the Wolfpack’s chances to defend their own turf against their rival on Saturday.

To that, I say, who cares?

UNC was favored against UVA and Georgia Tech, and that didn’t turn out to well for them.

NC State is on a 4-game winning streak, and they were underdogs in three of those games.

UNC Started last season with a 9-1 record, and lost the final 4 games. They started this year 6-0, and have lost 3 of their last 5. One of those wins was against Campbell.

They’ve choked at the end of the year in back-to-back years, but go ahead and make them the favorite.
