#10 NC State 79 Cincinnati 45: BOX SCORE (with notes)

#10 NC State continues it’s dominant play down in the Virgin Islands today, defeating Cincinnati 79-45 in the Paradise Jam, improving to 6-0.

An impressive six different NC State players scored in double-figures this afternoon.

Senior Guard Madison Hayes led the Wolfpack in scoring for the 2nd time this year, and the 2nd consecutive game as well. Hayes had 16 points, shooting 5 of 10 from the field, and an impressive 3 of 5 from beyond the arch. She also led the team with 12 rebounds.

Junior Guard Aziaha James had 13 points, and has scored in double figures in all but one game this year.

True Freshman Zoe Brooks continues to impress, scoring 12 points on 5 of 8 shooting.

True Freshman Laci Steele scored 11 points.

Senior Center River Baldwin and Freshman Center Mallory Collier both chipped in 10 points.

All three freshmen, Brooks, Steele and Collier scored career highs.

NC State’s defense was swarming, holding Cincinnati to 24.2% shooting, turning the Bearcats over 19 times.

The Wolfpack’s biggest challenge down in the Virgin Islands will be against #3 Colorado tomorrow at 1pm.
