NC State Wins 9 Games for the 14th Time in School History

NC State won their 9th game of the 2023 football season tonight, defeating rival UNC 39-20, marking the 14th time in school history that the Wolfpack have won 9+ games.

Dave Doeren has led NC State to four 9-win seasons in eleven years. NO other NC State coach ever had more than two 9-win seasons.

NC State still has a chance to pick up a historic 10th win in a bowl game, which has only been done once in school history, back in 2002, when the Wolfpack went 11-3. I always forget that Doeren was robbed of a chance at a 10th win in 2021 when UCLA bailed at the last second, refusing to play in the Holiday Bowl.
