Payton Wilson is the 11th CONSENSUS All-American in NC State History

Linebacker Payton Wilson just earned the elite status of being called a Consensus 1st Team All-American. Wilson is the 11th player in NC State history to be named a Consensus 1st Team All-American. Considering the number on his jersey, this couldn’t be more fitting.

Five of the eleven NC State players to earn Consensus status have played for Dave Doeren, and the Wolfpack have had a Consensus 1st Team All-American in three consecutive years, which is truly remarkable.

Here’s a look at the 11 Wolfpack players to earn Consensus 1st Team All-American status:
