Maryland Transfer DB Tamarcus Cooley is Taking An Official Visit to NC State this Week

Maryland Defensive Back Transfer Tamarcus Cooley is taking an Official Visit to NC State this weekend.

Cooley played in 4 games for Maryland as a True Freshman this year, seeing defensive snaps in 3 of those (23 snaps), finishing with 4 tackles. He has missed the past three games due to injury. Since Cooley played only 4 games, he will be a Redshirt Freshman wherever he lands next year.

Originally, Cooley was a part of NC State’s 2023 recruiting class, verbally committing on July 4, 2022. Ultimately, Cooley would flip his commitment to Maryland on signing day last year, on December 21st.

Rivals ranked Cooley as the #19 player in the state of North Carolina in the 2023 recruiting class.

Cooley has 4 years of eligibility remaining. His Official  Visit will begin on Friday.
