Coastal Carolina Transfer QB Grayson McCall Commits to NC State!

NC State has found their 2024 starting Quarterback in Coastal Carolina Transfer Grayson McCall. A source told me yesterday afternoon that he committed, but wasn’t sure when it would go public.

McCall was the Sun Belt Player of the year in 2020, 2021 and 2022. He didn’t play the final 5 games of the season due to injury this year, and prior to injury, the numbers weren’t on par with prior years. It was also his first year with Tim Beck as Coastal’s head coach.

This past weekend, McCall took Official Visits to both NC State and UCF.

After last season, McCall entered the Transfer Portal, and there was speculation that he would transfer to Auburn. In the end, McCall pulled his name out of the portal.

If you take a look at McCall’s career numbers at Coastal, you’re looking at video game statistics.
178.4 Passing Efficiency Rating
88 Touchdowns/14 Interceptions
69.9% Completion Percentage
1,113 Rushing Yards
18 Rushing Touchdowns

The former 2-Star prospect out of high school has proven a lot of people wrong over his collegiate career, and he gets to go out with a bang, leading the Wolfpack in 2024.
