For the 2nd straight week, former NC State Quarterback Jacoby Brissett has outplayed former UNC Quarterback Sam Howell. Sam Howell has been the starting Quarterback all season, but last week, with the Commanders trailing 28-7 to the Rams, Brissett was brought in for the first time in 2023, and the result was brilliant.

In two drives, Brissett threw for 124 passing yards. In 10 drives, Howell threw for 102. Brissett was brilliant in a short sample size, completing 8 of his 10 passes, with 2 of them going for touchdowns.

On Sunday, in what was almost deja vu, Washington was trailing 27-7, and brought in Brissett with 6 minutes left in the 3rd Quarter.

What happened?

Brissett was stellar once again. With the former Wolfpack Quarterback behind center, the Commanders narrowly lost 28-30. At one point, he led them to a 28-27 lead. Brissett completed 10 of 13 for 100 yards and a touchdown.

After the game, Brissett showed his exemplary character, describing how Howell is like a little brother to him, and how he is encouraging him in this season.

You have to love Jacoby Brissett.

P.S. he should be a starting Quarterback in the NFL.
