Jordan Waters Isn’t Visiting Texas A&M

The message board world was rumbling like crazy this morning that Running Back Jordan Waters (6’0″/219), who transferred to NC State from Duke, was visiting Texas A&M.

Texas A&M is in fact where Mike Elko is the new head coach, who happened to be Waters coach at Duke. If Waters were to take a visit to Texas A&M this close to the semester starting, it would surely not end with good news for the Wolfpack.

When I reached out to a source this morning to ask if they knew anything about Waters visiting Texas A&M, they said that would be difficult, considering he was supposed to be at a lunch in Raleigh today.

Take a breath everyone. Was Waters planning on taking a visit? I don’t know. Could he still take a visit? Sure, but time is short. According to what I know, I don’t believe Waters is taking a visit to Texas A&M, and I fully expect him to suit up for the Wolfpack in 2024.

Waters rushed for 753 yards  and 12 touchdowns this season for the Blue Devils, averaging 5.3 yards per carry. In his career, he has averaged 5.0 yards per carry in 50 games at Duke.

The former 3-star prospect out of Fairmont High School (Fairmont, North Carolina), who was ranked as the 43rd player in he state of North Carolina in 2019 by ESPN, earned 3rd Team All-ACC honors this season.
