After playing 50 snaps in 3 games as a Redshirt Freshman in 2022, Fordham’s role significantly increased in 2023, with the exodus of Drake Thomas and Isaiah Moore. Fordham only started 2 games this season, but he played in 411 snaps, which was more than starter Devon Betty (318).
Fordham finished this season with 53 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 1 pass breakup. In the first start of his collegiate career against UVA this season, Fordham led the Wolfpack with 12 tackles. Fordham posted a PFF Grade of 61.1 in 2023, which ranked 16th on the NC State defense. His strength was in stopping the run this year, with a 72.7 grade in Run Defense. Fordham struggled in coverage, posting a Coverage grade of 50.6, which was the 2nd lowest on the team.
Coming out of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Fordham was a 4-Star prospect (ESPN & 247) in the Wolfpack’s 2021 recruiting class.
Fordham will be moving into a starting role in 2024 alongside Devon Betty. The potential is there, and his ceiling is high.
His ceiling is high. You have to be kidding me. Please use a freshman there instead of this guy.
