Now that’s how you rebound after a loss! #6 NC State Women’s Basketball team decimated Virginia 93-66 at home tonight, after falling at Virginia Tech via a buzzer beater this past Sunday. The Wolfpack improved to 15-1 on the year, and 3-1 in conference play. Below is the Box Score with notes below.

• It was a dominant performance by the Wolfpack.
  • NC State shot 48.5% from the field, and held UVA to 32.9%.
  • They also forced the Cavaliers to commit 16 turnovers.
  • The Wolfpack blistered the net, making 10 of their 23 three-point attempts (43.5%).
• Freshman Zoe Brooks scored a career high 19 points, shooting 7 of 12 from the field.
  • She also had 3 steals.
• Senior Madison Hayes had 17 points and 5 rebounds, shooting 7 of 13.
  • Hayes sunk 3 three-pointers.
• Junior Aziaha James had 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (5 of 13 FG).
• Senior Mimi Collins had 14 points, 9 boards and 3 blocks (4-9 FG).
• Laci Steele, another Freshman, set a new career scoring record, scoring 13 points, making 5 of her 6 shots.
• Junior Saniya Rivers shot poorly (2 of 7 FG), but she did lead the team with 7 assists.
