NC State Currently isn’t Projected to go to the NCAA Tournament

I know the ACC slate just started, but the Bracketologist’s have been busy. NC State’s Men’s Basketball team is currently 11-4 overall, and 3-1 in conference play, but according to most 2024 NCAA Tournament projections, the Wolfpack aren’t projected to make the Big Dance.

Prior to NC State’s loss to #7 UNC on Wednesday night, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi had the Wolfpack on the bubble, as one of the “Next Four Out.” After the loss, he no longer has them on the bubble. Lunardi only projects 4 teams from the ACC to make the Tournament at this point.

Prior to the UNC loss, T3 Bracketology also had NC State as one the “Next Four Out” teams. They did have this to say as well:

Prior to Wednesday’s loss JBR Bracketology had the Wolfpack a little higher, but still on the outside looking in, as a “First Four Out” team. After the loss, they moved them to “Next Four Out.

Prior to Wednesday, Graham Doeren had NC State as a “First Four Out” Team.

Currently, over at The Bracket Matrix, there are only 2 Bracketologist’s who are projecting NC State to make the Big Dance. Brian Floyd projected the Wolfpack to be a 12 seed, but that was before Wednesday’s loss. Prior to the loss, Novice Opinion projected the Wolfpack to be a 8-seed.

This is truly funny. They don’t deserve to be in the tournament, maybe NIT, maybe. Wish it could be true but with KKIAL coaching we don’t have a chance. They screwed Clemson last year and we were the beneficiary of the gift. Will not happen this year.
