Former NC State All-American Joe Thuney Suffered a Strained Pec in Chiefs Win Over Bills, Not a Tear
Former NC State All-American Offensive Guard Joe Thuney suffered a pectoral injury in the Chiefs 27-24 win over the Bills this past Sunday.
The All-Pro Guard underwent an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, and according to Ian Rapoport, Thuney suffered a strain, not a tear.
Joe Thuney’s status will be tracked throughout the week. Still up in the air. But overall, this is positive news. https://t.co/DKNLHmFsLZ

Does that mean that Thuney will be able to play this upcoming Sunday against the Ravens? That is yet to be determined, but for Kansas City, at least there is a chance he will play.
Before suffering the injury, Thuney was unstoppable, not allowing a single sack or pressure.
Ed Oliver & DaQuan Jones were held to 0 pressures on 38 combined pass rushes, Oliver's first game without a pressure since Week 13, 2021.
Jones was double teamed on 12 of 17 pass rushes (70.6%), while Oliver had 10 one-on-one matchups vs Joe Thuney.#KCvsBUF | #ChiefsKingdom pic.twitter.com/ZECLd8KyHf

Thuney had another exceptional season, earning Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors. His PFF Grade of 75.2 was the 4th highest grade by a Guard in the AFC.
