NC State’s #7 Women’s Basketball team took care of business on the road last night, defeating Clemson 71-49 in Littlejohn Coliseum. The Box Score is below, with notes underneath.

Notes

  • Senior Guard Madison Hayes scored 24 points, which was a new career high. She also led the team with 9 rebounds as well.
    • Hayes shot 10 of 15 from the field, and 3 of 5 from beyond the arch.
  • Senior Forward Mimi Collins chipped in 14 points, shooting an efficient 6 of 11 from the field.
  • Junior Guard Saniya Rivers was the third Wolfpack player in double figures scoring, with 13 points on 6 of 11 shooting as well.
    • Rivers also led the Pack with 5 assists and 7 steals.
    • She now has posted 7 steals in back-to-back games.
  • The Wolfpack defense held the Tigers to 35.8% shooting from the field.
    • NC State shot 44.8%.
  • As a team, NC State collected 16 steals, which is the most since December 19th, 2014, when the Wolfpack recorded 17 steals.

NC State will continue their road trip on Sunday, playing Boston College (11-10) in Chestnut Hill.
