Previewing NC State’s Opponent: Syracuse
This evening NC State will look to walk out of the JMA Wireless Dome with a victory. The Wolfpack (13-6/5-3) enter into their matchup against Syracuse (13-6/4-4) as slight underdogs. Let’s take a detailed look at the Orange before tonights game.
Syracuse’s best victory of the season was a Quad 1 win over Pitt on the road, defeating the Panthers 69-58. Other than that, the Orange have lost their other 5 Quad 1 games (NC State is 0-5 in Quad 1 games).
Their worst loss of the season was a Quad 3 loss to Florida State at home, falling 69-85 to the Seminoles at home.
Sophomore Guard Judah Mintz leads the Orange in scoring (18.4 points per game), ranking 3rd in the ACC. He is shooting 42.5% from the field and 34.7% from three. Mintz also leads Syracuse in assists (4.3 assists per game), ranking 6th in the conference.
Sophomore Guard J.J. Starling averages 11.7 points per game, shooting 44.2% from the field.
Sophomore Forward Chris Bell is the only other player averaging double figures in scoring, averaging 10.7 points per game. Bell is the Orange’s best three-point shooter, making 37.9% from beyond the arc.
Sophomore Forward Maliq Brown leads Syracuse in rebounding, averaging 6.5 rebounds per game.
Another one bites the dust. Where is DOF87 with his words of wisdom. If anyone is a troll it is him. I just tell it like it is. KKIAL forever gone.
When NCSU fires KKIAL this year, how many recruits (2) will come to State. I am assuming the smarter kids like Rice, Parker, and Thomas will transfer.
