NC State Baseball Top-25 Rankings Update After Hawaii Series

The Baseball polls have updated their rankings, and there was a little bit of movement for NC State after the Wolfpack won 2 out of 3 against Hawaii this weekend. NC State improved in one poll, and fell in the other two.

NC State fell back a spot to #14 in D1Baseball’s poll.

The Wolfpack actually moved up 1 spot to #18 in Baseball America’s poll.

NC State this weekend notched a hard-fought series win against a scrappy Hawaii club. Friday was a nearly four-hour affair that saw the Wolfpack almost squander an early five-run lead before pulling away in the later innings. Following a loss Saturday in which Hawaii scored four runs in the eighth inning to propel itself to a win, the Wolfpack on Sunday clinched the series thanks to a seven run fifth inning. Alec Makarewicz had a great weekend, going 6-for-13 with two home runs and eight RBIs. NC State this week returns home where it takes on Queens before a series with Towson. (BA)
