#14 NC State Crushes Towson 15-4 in Game 1 of Doubleheader
#14 NC State defeated Towson 15-4 in Game 1 of a doubleheader this afternoon, improving to 7-2 on the year.
Sophomore Dominic Fritton picked up his 1st Win of the 2024 season, after picking up L’s in his fist two starts. He might have picked up the win, but it wasn’t pretty, giving up 4 earned runs in 4.2 innings. Fritton struck out 8, which is great, but he also walked 5. His pitch count of 104 is his highest of the season thus far.
Senior 3B Alec Makarewicz continued his blazing start to the year. He was 2 for 5, with a home run, 2 RBI’s and 2 Runs. A-Mak’s home run was his 5th of the season, which leads the team.

Junior Catcher Jacob Cozart was back behind the plate, and hit his 3rd home run of the season. Cozart racked up 3 runs, and 2 more walks.
