4-Star 2025 Defensive End Trajen Odom (6’5″/270) confirmed with me that he is on an unofficial visit to NC State today.

A recruiting Dead Period (no in-person communication between coaches and recruits) ended yesterday, beginning a Quiet Period, where coaches can interact with recruits on the college campus (but nowhere else).

It’s noteworthy that on the first day Odom was allowed to be on a college campus interacting with coaches, Odom chose to be at NC State.

Odom plays right in the Wolfpack’s backyard, playing for Panther Creek High School, in Cary, North Carolina. ON3 and ESPN both rate him as a 4-star prospect. ON3 ranks him as the #120 overall player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class, the #11 Defensive Linemen, and the #6 player in the state of North Carolina.

As a Junior this past season, Odom had 54 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 4 sacks for the Catamounts.

Odom’s offer sheet is extremely impressive, holding offers from NC State, Alabama, LSU, Oregon, Ohio St., Georgia, Oklahoma, Penn St., Tennessee, Miami, UNC, UVA, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Wake Forest, Washington, UCLA, Missouri, USC and others.
