NC State (17-14/9-11) finished the regular season on a 4-game losing streak, losing to Pitt (21-10/12-8) 73-81 on the road this evening.

Senior Guard DJ Horne, NC State’s leading scorer, only played 12 minutes because of an lower extremity injury. He didn’t come back out after halftime.

Junior Guard Jayden Taylor put the Pack on his back, trying to will his team to victory in the 2nd half. Taylor scored 28 points, which is a new career high. He shot 9 of 15 from the field, and 5 of 10 from three.

As a result of the loss, NC State officially finished 10th in the ACC this season. For perspective, the Wolfpack were picked to finish 7th in the 2023-24 ACC Preseason Poll.

The Wolfpack will play in the opening day of the ACC Tournament against Louisville, the #15 seed.

On the whole, a very disheartening ending to the 2023-24 season.

Below is the Box Score.

I used to take off from work during the ACC tournament just to see NCSU play with the hopes of winning the thing. There were some good runs and other one and dones. However, I will not watch this team again until KK is removed. And quit sending me crap asking for more money. Also, we have lost 10 of the last 14 games.

No ice cream again? Another one bites the dust. This is really getting old. One simple thing to do in the off season is to fire KK and get a good coach from the good teams in the tournament. No up and coming guy, someone established.
