#3 Seed NC State Wins Convincingly 64-45 Over Chattanooga in 1st Round of the NCAA Tournament

It wasn’t a pretty 1st Round win in the NCAA Tournament, but a W is a W.

Don’t get me wrong. The Wolfpack walked out of Reynolds with a dominant 64-45 win over Chattanooga in the 1st round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.

But both teams, #3 seed NC State and #14 Chattanooga, both shot 33.3% from the field.

How did the Wolfpack win by such a large margin?

NC State made 20 of 25 free throw attempts, while Chattanooga made 8 of 14.

The Wolfpack also snagged 12 offensive boards.

Junior Guard Aziaha James led the Pack with 19 points, on 6 of 12 shooting, making 5 of 10 from three.

Senior Center River Baldwin had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, making 2 of her 5 shots.

Junior Guard Saniya Rivers had 16 points (4-11 FG) and 8 boards.

#3 seed NC State will play #6 seed Tennessee on Monday night in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament.
