NC State Assistant Coach Joel Justus has been named the Associate Head Coach at Ohio St.

This season was Justus’ 2nd with the Wolfpack.

Prior to arriving in Raleigh, he was an Assistant for Bobby Hurley at Arizona St. Before that, Justus spent 7 years at Kentucky, serving as an Assistant Coach for the final 5. His first gig as an Assistant Coach was at Elon, from 2004-08.

In 2020, both ESPN and The Athletic named him one of the Top 40 Under 40 in College Basketball.

At Kentucky, Justus was the lead recruiter for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Bam Adebayo and Immanuel Quickley.

This past season, he was the lead recruiter for DJ Horne, Jayden Taylor and Michael O’Connell.

Justus will be the lead Assistant for new Buckeye’s Head Coach Jake Diebler in Columbus.
