319 players will be participating in the 2024 MLB Combine over June 18-23 at Chase Field, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Three NC State players will be participating in the event:

Junior Catcher Jacob Cozart
Sophomore Center Fielder Eli Serrano III
Sophomore Pitcher Dominic Fritton

This will be the 4th MLB Combine, starting back in 2021. The Combine is invitation only, selected by a “committee of MLB, USA Baseball and MLB Club scouting executives, incorporating feedback from all 30 MLB Clubs.” (MLB)

Participating in the combine doesn’t effect a players collegiate eligibility.

Cozart was just named 2nd Team All-American by Perfect Game. He enters the College World Series with a .300 Batting Average, 19 Home Runs, 53 RBI’s, 60 Runs, an .430 On-Base Percentage and an OPS of 1.034.

Serrano III is hitting .297 with 9 Home Runs, 9 Doubles, 39 RBI’s and 56 Runs this season. He was named to the All-Freshman team last season.

Fritton hasn’t had the same success he saw as a Freshman last year, earning 1st Team Freshman All-American honors, with a 3.59 ERA, with 75 K’s in 62.2 innings. This year, Fritton is 3-6 with a 7.35 ERA, striking out 69 batters in 71 innings.

Last year, SS Gino Groover and OF Carter Trice represented the Pack. In 2022
