PI EXCLUSIVE: 4-Star WR Jimmar Boston is Looking To Schedule an Official Visit to NC State

Published

on

I confirmed with 4-Star 2024 Wide Receiver Jimmar Boston (6’0″/180) that he is looking to schedule an Official Visit to NC State.

Boston is rated as a 4-Star prospect according to ESPN. They rank him as the #294 overall player nationally in the 2024 recruiting class, and the #6 player in the state of South Carolina. Boston had 34 receptions for 699 yards and 7 touchdowns for Westside (Anderson, South Carolina).

Boston attended the Alpha Wolf Showcase at the end of July, and picked up an offer the same day.

“The offer from NC State meant a lot. It was my 2nd Power 5 offer, and it’s a school not too far from the home state,” said Boston. “The visit was great! I love the scenery and the coaches!”

When I asked Boston what NC State’s pitch was, he said “They don’t need a pitch, I loved the school before they pitched anything.”

Boston also mentioned that he is being recruited by NC State Wide Receivers Coach Joker Phillips, and he’s loved building that relationship.

On top of looking to schedule an Official Visit to Raleigh, Boston also told me that he is looking to schedule Official Visits to Virginia Tech (his other Power 5 offer) and Old Dominion.

Boston has kind of flown under the radar. While ESPN obviously thinks very highly of him, ON3 and 247Sports don’t even have him as a rated prospect. He told me, that he’s ok with that.

“I do personally believe that I’ve flown under the radar, but I like that,” said Boston. “because I feel as if the people that notice me now are noticing me for me, and not for circumstantial things like rankings, stars or anything like that.”

While Boston didn’t tell me he had a timeline for making his college decision, he did say it would be soon.
