VIDEO: Yurtseven talks about his improved mentality
Omer Yurseven didn’t quite live up the hype in his first go-round with the Wolfpack last season. This year, however, it seems as if he’s bringing a new mentality to the court. He talked about it during the FIBA U20 championships.

Meanwhile, he continues his dominance for the U20 Turkey National Team.

While all the talk seems positive, and the numbers have been there thus far in the FIBA Championships, Yurt still has a lot of work to do on the defensive side according to ESPN’s draft analyst, Mike Schmitz.
Yurtseven’s defensive intensity still needs a lot of work but his touch in the post is impressive. Short turnarounds, jump hooks. Skilled.

There has been a lot of discussion about how much the Pack will be able to count on the versatile 7 footer this season, but with a year under his belt, it looks like he’s ready to take a step forward for Keatts and company. At least that’s what we are hoping.
What do you think? Is Yurt7’s play in the FIBA Championship a sign of improvement, or is he just more comfortable playing the European style of ball?
