NC State Returns Their Best Player In 2018

You might assume that Defensive End Bradley Chubb was NC State’s best player in 2017, and technically I’m not saying that’s false.

But according to ProFootballFocus, who grades every player on their performance on every single play, quarterback Ryan Finley was the best player on the Wolfpack in 2017.

In fact, Chubb had the third highest grade on the team behind Offensive Tackle Will Richardson, who has declared for the NFL Draft.

Finley’s grade is elite.

He had the 4th highest grade of any quarterback in the nation.

Of the top 25 FBS QBs with the most pass attempts in 2017, six completed 65%+ of their passes and just three completed 65%+ of their passes & had less than 10 interceptions. Those three were: @WKUFootball QB Mike White, @PackFootball QB Ryan Finley, and @CowboyFB QB Mason Rudolph

Heisman trophy winner Baker Mayfield and NC State quarterback Ryan Finley.

Not only is NC State returning their highest graded player in 2018, but they are returning one of the best quarterbacks in Wolfpack history.
