NC State basketball fans get their first Dusan Mahorcic sighting at team meeting
About 4 months ago, NC State landed 6’10 big man, Dusan Mahorcic, a transfer from Utah.
At the time, our columnist, Joey Wolferetti, was pretty pumped about the signing. And that hasn’t changed.
However, if you were following NC State’s summer exhibition games in the Bahamas, then you notice you heard nothing about Mahorcic. Wondering why?
It was because Dusan didn’t make the trip. He was busy graduating from Utah.
I don’t blame anyone for wondering if that was just an excuse and something else was going on, or if it really was a scheduling conflict. We’ve seen both situations in the past. But today you can rest easy, because Dusan is with the team now in Raleigh, and there is photo evidence.
This is good news because Mahorcic is a vital piece to the 3-headed monster that’s going to be taking the floor at center for the Pack.
DJ Burns is going to be the offensive guy. Dowuona is going to be the shot blocker. While Mahorcic is going to be the physical enforcer in the paint (and he has a little offensive game too).

I like the fact that (if I counted correctly), all but three shots were contested. He’s doing the ugly stuff. Get the ball to him inside and watch him work hard for a shot. Impressive
Nice moves from the big man. Like Dof87 said earlier, just having to practice against him will make Ebe better. Really hope to see some of the Two-headed monster inside this year.
