On Sunday, former NC State All-ACC Quarterback Russell Wilson threw for 400 yards for the first time since September 22nd, 2019, when he was a member of the Seattle Seahawks.

Wilson completed 29 of his 38 passes for 414 yards and 3 touchdowns (1 interception) in the Steelers’ 44-38 win over the Bengals. His QB Rating was 126.4.

In fact, Wilson’s 416 passing yards are the most he’s thrown for in a game since October 29th, 2017.

Wilson has been miraculous since he stepped into the starting role for Pittsburgh, leading them to a 5-1 record over the last 6 games. His QB Rating is currently 104.3, which ranks 5th in the NFL. I know the season isn’t over, but the last time that Wilson had a QB Rating this good was in 2020, when he posted a QB Rating of 105.1

The Steelers easily got the steal of the offseason, signing Wilson to a 1-year contract, worth $1.2 million. Humorously, Denver is paying Wilson $38 million to lead the Steelers to victory on a weekly basis.
