The New York Jets have signed former NC State All-ACC Running Back Zonovan Knight to their Practice Squad.

Knight spent last season as a member of the Detroit Lions, on their Practice Squad, and their Active Roster. He played in 2 games, and had 3 carries for 13 yards, and 1 reception for 8 yards. Knight was waived by the Lions prior to the start of this season.

After going undrafted in 2022, Knight was signed to the New York Jets Practice Squad, and was eventually called up to the Active Roster, playing in 7 games (starting in 4). He rushed for 300 yards and a touchdown, and had 13 receptions for 100 yards.

As a member of the Practice Squad in his 3rd year in the NFL, he should make between $16,800 – $21,300 per week.

As a member of NC State, Knight earned 3rd Team All-ACC Honors as a Running Back in 2020, and earned 1st Team All-ACC honors in 2021 as a Kick Returner. Knight was named an All-American as well in 2021 as a Kick Returner by CBS Sports.

Knight averaged 5.46 yards per carry in his career as a member of the Wolfpack, which is the best average in school history. His career kickoff return average of 30.8 is also the best in NC State history.
