The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed NC State’s DJ Burns to a Summer League deal.
Burns averaged 12.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the Wolfpack this year, shooting 53.1% from the field. He was named the ACC Tournament MVP, leading NC State to their first ACC Championship since 1987. In the ACC Tourney, Burns averaged 15.2 points per game over the 5 games, shooting an absurd 62.7% from the field.
After averaging 18.25 points in the 4 games that led the Pack to the Final Four, shooting 67.4% from the field, Burns was named the Most Outstanding Player in the South Region of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
