3-Star CB RJ Jones III Decommits from NC State

3-Star 2025 Cornerback RJ Jones III (6’1″/165) has decommitted from NC State. He was committed for less than two weeks.

After careful consideration, I have decided to withdraw my commitment to North Carolina State University. Jones initially verbally committed to Run with the Wolfpack after taking his Official Visit to Raleigh.

On May 31st, he revealed a Top 5 that included NC State, UCF, USF, Louisville and Illinois. He just wrapped up an Official Visit to UCF.

You can watch his highlights from the 2023 season here. He only played 7 games due to injury. Jones III had 9 pass breakups and 2 interceptions as a Junior at Vero Beach (Tampa, Florida).

ON3 ranks Jones III as the #59 overall player in the state of Florida in the 2025 recruiting class.

NC State now has 6 verbal commitments for their 2025 recruiting class: 3-Star QB Will Wilson, 3-Star TE Gus Ritchey, 3-Star DE Colby Cronk, 3-Star S Tristan Teasdell, 3-Star WR Jamar Browder and 3-Star Caden Gordon.
