Delaware was the first team to offer Evans after the Portal opened up, extending an offer on December 7th. He also picked up offers from New Mexico, Albany, Towson, and Austin Peay.
In 2023, Evans didn’t play a single snap for NC State. In 2021, he played 3 games on Special Teams. Last season Evans played in 3 games, taking defensive snaps in 2, and special teams only in one.
Evans was a 3-star prospect in the Wolfpack’s 2021 recruiting class out of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He has 2 years of eligibility remaining.
Here’s a rundown of where players that have transferred from NC State have landed:
DB Nate Evans – Delaware
WR Christopher Scott – Austin Peay
S Jakeen Harris – UNC
RB Michael Allen – UNLV
WR Anthony Smith – East Carolina
TE Christopher Toudle – Western Michigan
NT CJ Clark – Miami
QB MJ Morris – Maryland

Is that Division III? Going on down.
